Turns Out I'm a Fundamentalist After All

Here's a quiz that purports to tell you whether you're a postmodernist or something else.

The most disconcerting thing about my score is how high I scored in the "postmodernist" category. I guess I'm not as pomophobic as we all thought.

You scored as Fundamentalist. Fundamentalism represents a movement in opposition to Modernism. About a quarter of the population in the U.S. is classified as Fundamentalist.

Hmm, I came out as cultural creative first and Fundamentalist second.

Cultural Creative - 81%
Fundamentalist - 50%

But I think the creators of the quiz are probably defining Fundamentalist in such a way that the term includes evangelicals.

I feel so dirty after taking this quiz ...

You scored as Cultural Creative.

Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.

First and foremost, those numbers don't add up to a hundred o_O so how can you be 75% Fundie and 63% Cultural Creative?

Weeee!

Ok, so I guess I'm 100% Fundie, and I did rank 50% Pomo and 69% Culture Creative, which bothers me as well. I think these results are a bit off ;) I also don't understand what questions were applicable to Culture Creative!

Awww well, the whole quiz is fun and games, have a great week!

I also scored in the high 60's a "Cultural Creative" and second (mid - 50s) as a Fundamentalist. What in the world is a Cultural Creative? I am now suffering an identity crisis! Thanks, Phil!

I suspect if you scored more than a few of the questions by choosing the exact middle choice that was a trigger for cultural creative; like it means you're 'nuanced' or something.

chalk up another "cultural creative":
Cultural Creative 69%
Existentialist 38%
Fundamentalist 38%
Romanticist 38%
Postmodernist 31%
Modernist 13%
Materialist 0%
Idealist 0%

but then again, if i couldn't figure out what on earth the question was asking, i just answered in the middle - it's great to be pigeonholed :-P

I was pegged as a "cultural creative." Is that bad? Can I be written up at work for this, Phil?

I love quizes that are right on about me. This quiz scored a bullz-eye

You scored as Postmodernist.

Postmodernism is the belief in complete open interpretation. You see the universe as a collection of information with varying ways of putting it together. There is no absolute truth for you; even the most hardened facts are open to interpretation. Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis.
